Born in Algiers, Algeria, Iman Djouini (Art Department) is an artist who works primarily in Printmaking, Placemaking, and Typography. Her research-based practice explores gender and postcolonial spatial relations. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, and featured within multiple civic public art projects. She currently serves as the director of Social Print Lab, a print media civic-design studio based between Baltimore and Los Angeles. In this presentation, Djouni will focus on her artist process and research leading to her current and ongoing series, Rendre. An exhibition of the series will be featured at the 2026 Venice Art Biennale, as part of the Personal Structures show. The discussant for this presentation is Soha Saghazadeh (Film and Media).
