Bio: Hala Alyan (PsyD, Clinical Psychology, Rutgers University) is a clinical psychologist who specializes in culturally- and trauma-informed therapy in New York. She is the author of the award-winning novel Salt Houses, which addresses aspects of identity and the effects of displacement within the Palestinian diaspora, as well as the author of four award-winning collections of poetry. Her work has been published by the New Yorker, the Academy of American Poets, Lit Hub, The New York Times Book Review, and Guernica.
